Now, the first question is, why this project? Well, things did not go exactly as many of us hoped in Congress in May. It was anticipated that the vote would be "Nay" about continuing the war in Iraq. (See the menu button "About This Project")
As to the question of, why paper? Why not on the internet in the form of e-mails? First of all, we all know how many e-mails there are out there. Secondly, if you present a paper to someone, are you not able to look them in the eyes with sincerity, and speak from your heart, one-on-one? Or you may perhaps communicate with a small group. This is a project in the spirit of "paying it forward."
Many of you know "The Secret."** We are creating and manifesting peace every time we present these papers to someone else. We are paying that message from the heart forward. We are paying forward freedom, "We The People." There are many, many groups who are already working upon the peace project. There are even more groups who are working upon some aspect where freedom and peace are needed in order for their projects to become successful.
If you have a concern about the environment, if you have a concern about the educational school system, if you have a concern about the medical system, if you have a concern about fairer practices in employment, fair hearings in the courts of law, or any kind of a concern, completing this project and bringing it to fruition is like the first domino in the row. It is an all-encompassing blanket, whereby we can ask these other groups, all worthy causes, to participate in this project, because it will further theirs.
So in the spirit of creating the life we want for ourselves, our country and our world, let us pay it forward with these simply powerful petitions, and join the growing wave for peace now!
